Festive Floral Cardigan Pattern

Although this cardigan began life in festive colours, I honestly think it's become one of the most versatile designs in my collection.

Changing the colours completely transforms its personality. Imagine soft blues and creams, rich berry shades, or even elegant monochrome florals. Suddenly it becomes a cardigan for every season rather than just Christmas.

The moss stitch borders frame the floral colourwork beautifully, making it feel polished and timeless.

The body of this cardigan is worked from the bottom up in one piece back and forth on circular needles in stranded colourwork. At the armholes the body is split into the two fronts and the back, where shaping commences. The sleeves are worked flat on straight needles and sewn into the armhole with a sleeve seam. Borders at the bottom, neckband, button band and cuffs are added in moss stitch.
