Super Chunky Knitting

Imagine my excitement this weekend when I realised that one of my super easy knitting patterns for knitting with super chunky wool was featured on a craftsy blog.

Craftsy is a site that provides education and tools to help you bring your creativity to life and its where I sell the majority of my knitting patterns as well as purchase some of my yarny supplies.

Knowing that the blog will get read by thousands of people world wide made me so happy. Yipee.

Its such a simple pattern too, one that the chunky yarn was crying out for me to design. The gloves are knit in Rico Design Creative Twist Super Chunky which is a very thick yarn made of 80% acrylic and 20% alpaca. The alpaca fibres make this yarn especially warm in winter.

It has an easy knit cable cuff and simple moss stitch hand part. No knitting in the round or complicated thumb to knit. It can be knit in any super chunky yarn really as long as you use something that knits up to this gauge - Approx 10cm / 4 inches = 9 sts x 12 rows and of course you can email me if you get stuck too , so ideal for the beginners out there.

The pattern is available on Craftsy (immediate download)  or here from my web site .

I'm offering it half price on my web site until the end of this month , August 2015, just as a little celebration.

Today I thought I would join in the hand craftng communities "Handmade Monday" crafty linky party , to join in the crafty fun. Want to join me?

  1. Congratulations, I love using chunky wool because it knits up so quickly.

  3. Well done you for being published. I love the Craftsy website and am currently signed up for a cookie decorating course, not started yet as so much else to do.
