We are challenging you to knit an original garment, fashion or home accessory, using one (or more) of the 30cm squares patterns produced especially for WOVEN by Rowan designers Lisa Richardson, Martin Storey and Chloe Thurlow inspired by the local landscape. Cushions, table runners, bags, purses, scarfs, snoods are all possible with a bit of adaptation, we are looking for - creativity, unique use of the designs, good use of colour and inventive ways of combining the patterns. We would like you to make something special as a souvenir of the project and be in with the chance of winning our first prize: All the yarn to make a garment of your choice featured in the latest Rowan Magazine 69. Entries will be judged by Stuart Hilliard, our Big Knit Ambassador and an original design expert on the Great British Sewing Bee, author, columnist and knitting enthusiast, Sandra Nesbitt, our Big Knit designer of Rainbow Ray Panels and freelance knitwear designer and Lisa Richardson, a leading designer for Rowan. The winning design will be announced on the Big Rainbow Knit weekend (26/27th June).
To be in with the chance of winning please submit up to three different images (angles) of your finished creations to [email protected] by 18th June along with your name and a contact telephone number.
