Baby Alpaca Knitted Bolero

I've recently been learning and working on new designs using the stacked stitch technique. The technique is easy to learn using knitting stitches you will already know. Yeh!   Video tutorial to suplement my new design is here.

I've been impressed by the work of the designers already using this technique. Their work is bright, colourful and really rather fun. I've tuned my designs down so that the stripes are less angular and more wavy and by using just 2 colours you achieve a more classic feminine look.

Here's my 1st design, available in kit form - .The 'Splash Waves' wrap.

About Sandra

Sandra lives and works from a little old textile village in the heart of West Yorkshire. She designs, creates, knits and develops using locally sourced yarn, some from the local mill just 5 minutes walk away. She publishes new knitting patterns throughout the year, organises and teaches workshops locally and also has patterns published in knitting magazines such as 'The Knitter' , 'Knit Now' and 'Knit Picks' She she has worked in collaboration with another local knitting designer Louisa Harding to bring a beautiful Brioche collection worked in Louisa's own Cashmere yarns..

She can offer you some fine, good quality hand knit products and also some of the tools to knit your own. With well-tested knitting patterns and knitting kits (where you don't even need to think about where to get the right yarn from) and a wealth of information in her knitting tips and 'Learn here" pages.
